School Help Advice and Reporting System
We all work together at Mark Rutherford School to help with any concerns you may have in or out of school in our local community. We have introduced this system to make it even easier for young people and adults to make us aware of important information that we need to be aware of. Any information received will be taken seriously, dealt with sensitively and in a timely manner.
SHARP is an easy way to report these concerns.
Possible examples of concerns are:
- You are being bullied
- You are concerned about someone else being bullied
- You are concerned about crime in your community
- You are concerned about someone else’s safety
- You or a friend are unhappy at home
If you want to report any concerns please click on the MAKE A REPORT button.
You will have the option of sending a report from a computer or smartphone.
You will also be given a choice about including your name and details or sending an anonymous report. It is easier to follow up your concerns if you give us your name and as many details as you can. We will deal with your concern in a way which will protect your identity if this is necessary to keep you safe.
What happens when you make a report using the Report button?
Mr Tyler (Deputy Headteacher) will either help you with your concerns or pass on them onto the relevant person(s), which is likely to be a member of the pastoral team.
If your concern is about a crime that has taken place outside the school, we will contact our police liaison officer.
How quickly will someone contact you?
Your report will be followed up within 24-48 hours and sooner if it is urgent. However, please remember that this helpline is only in operation on school days.
