At Mark Rutherford School we believe in harnessing a culture of reading for pleasure. We teachers pride ourselves on our ability to recommend reading to our students; whether this be within our own subject areas or for enjoyment.

Below you’ll find some recommended reading for all ages categories by year group. All of the texts you’ll find on our reading lists are stocked within our school library (the Space 4 Learning) and we are continuously adding to our wide range of texts.
