Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills.  They are responsible for inspecting and regulating schools.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in June 2023.  The Sixth Form was rated ‘Good’ in the Ofsted report; this is testament to the students and staff who work together to offer engaging teaching and learning, and tailored support to suit individual students.

The report states:

‘Students in the sixth form follow a broad and well-delivered curriculum. Teachers have strong subject knowledge. They match work to their needs well, ensuring that students are provided with a challenging and engaging curriculum. Consequently, students achieve well and are ready for their next steps.’

‘Students have opportunities to develop their leadership skills through, for example, the school council and participation in productions and competitions. Students learn about a range of careers and courses. This contributes towards preparing them for the next stages in their education and employment.’
