Examinations Autumn Exam Season If you are considering taking an exam in the Autumn for any of your GCSE subjects, please make contact by email to exams@mrus.co.uk to register your interest. You must have registered your interest for any GCSE exam in the Autumn season by 11 September 2020. Our internal deadline to make the GCSE entries to the exam boards is the 16th September 2020. Only students who were entered for the summer exam season can request to take exams in the additional Autumn season. The best grade between the grade awarded in August and the grade awarded in the Autumn season will count. The exams will be the same format and number of papers for each subject as would have been expected in the subject in the summer. If a NEA would usually form part of the overall grade, for the Autumn series only, the grade will be awarded solely on the examination results. The Department of Education has announced a support package to support schools in meeting the costs of the autumn exam series, so we anticipate that there will be no fees due for any exam entries in the Autumn season. Summer 2021 - Notice of Exam Contingency Day Ofqual are currently undergoing a consultation regarding the dates of examinations to be held in the Summer of 2021. An exam contingency day will be put in place in the event of national or local disruption to the exams system affecting a significant number of candidates, this is provisionally Tuesday 29th June 2021 and all students must remain available to sit exams up to and including this date. However, this date could change following the conclusion of the consultation when we will then publish the confirmed date which will apply. If you need to contact the Exams Office please email exams@mrus.co.uk |
